Rect 23 APR 12:
Government House,
Hongkong, 21st March, 1902.
I have the honour to inform you that owing
to the resignation of Mr. T. J. Wild a vacancy is about to
occur in the office of Assistant Apothecary and Analyst.
2.
As Mr. Wild will leave the service on the
17th May, and there is no suitable local candidate to take
his place, I have to request you to be so good as to communi-
cate with the Crown Agents and direct them to find a suitable
man for the post and send him out to this Colony as early as
possible.
3.
I attach the usual paper of particulars,
from which you will observe that with your approval, I propose
to fix the Sterling salary of the post at £250 rising by tri-
ennial increments of £25 to £300. I do not consider that
suitable candidates will be forthcoming if the salary is fix-
ed at a smaller sum.
